Abstract: The dynamic performance of the railway vehicles and the guiding tracks is mainly governed by the wheel-rail interactions, particularly in cases of track irregularities. In this work, a united model was developed to investigate the track portions subject to violent wheel/rail forces triggered by track irregularities at middle-low frequencies. In the modeling procedures, a time-frequency unification method combining wavelet transform and Wigner-Ville distribution for characterizing time-frequency characteristics of track irregularities and a three-dimensional nonlinear model for describing vehicle-track interaction signatures were developed and coupled, based on which the method for predicting track portions subject to deteriorated wheel/rail forces was proposed. The theoretical models developed in this paper were comprehensively validated by numerical investigations. The significance of this present study mainly lies on offering a new path to establish correlation and realize mutual prediction between track irregularity and railway system dynamics. Abstract: Due to large output of Portland cement, the utilization of pulverized strontium slag (PSS) as a cement admixture is an available way for the effective recycling of strontium slag. In this study, the performance of Portland cement with the addition of PSS was investigated. At the same time, the leaching behavior of Sr2+ was monitored. Results demonstrated that when PSS served as the admixture of Portland cement, the setting time and water demand for normal consistency increased with the increase in PSS content. For the cement containing 5% PSS, the cement paste exhibited better fluidity and the cement mortar exhibited relatively higher compressive strength and flexural strength, lower porosity. When the PSS content reached 10 and 15%, the fluidity of the cement paste and the strength of the cement mortar were merely slightly affected. However, when the PSS content reached 20%, the fluidity of the cement paste and the strength decreased significantly. For the cement containing PSS, the cement mortar exhibited relatively lower drying shrinkage. Besides, the majority of strontium and barium in PSS were immobilized in the cement paste. At 42 d, the leaching rate Sr2+ in the cement paste is far below the leaching rate of Sr2+ of 1 x 10(-3) cm d(-1).

Title: Estimation of the stress level on a cross section of a reinforced concrete beam via Acoustic emission Intensity Distribution (AID) analysis

Abstract: Measuring stress is critical in the Civil Engineering. However, established acoustic emission-based techniques can hardly evaluate the stress level which a structure is experiencing. Accordingly, an idea of 'listening' to Acoustic Emission (AE) to evaluate critical stress states in reinforced concrete (RC) beams is investigated here. Previous work found that the stress diagram of an RC beam cross section strongly correlates with the corresponding AE event intensity distribution pattern. Therefore, the stress level of this type of structures was estimated by utilising the remarkable correlation in this study. First of all, the stress diagrams of a cross section of an RC beam loaded to failure were analysed, revealing features which had close relations with the stress level of the section. Thanks to the correlation, these features were also extracted from the corresponding distribution patterns of the AE event intensity and then used to estimate the stress state. As a result, the AE Intensity Distribution (AID) analysis approach was developed. Data from an experiment conducted on six RC beams with a Digital Image Correlation (DIC) system and an AE device were adopted to verify the approach. Results showed that the indicators of the approach strongly correlated with the stress levels of the specimens; that the approach can characterise the stress states precisely, with an error of about five per cent in critical stages. Besides the approach, more profound significance of this work lies in that it demonstrated the great capability of an innovative strategy, namely characterising structural behaviours accurately via correlating an AE distribution pattern with the corresponding stress diagram. Title: Study of stiffness and bearing capacity degradation of reinforced concrete beams under constant-amplitude fatigue

Language: English

Abstract: For a reinforced concrete beam subjected to fatigue loads, the structural stiffness and bearing capacity will gradually undergo irreversible degeneration, leading to damage. Moreover, there is an inherent relationship between the stiffness and bearing capacity degradation and fatigue damage. In this study, a series of fatigue tests are performed to examine the degradation law of the stiffness and bearing capacity. The results pertaining to the stiffness show that the stiffness degradation of a reinforced concrete beam exhibits a very clear monotonic decreasing "S" curve, i.e., the stiffness of the beam decreases significantly at the start of the fatigue loading, it undergoes a linear decline phase in the middle for a long loading period, and before the failure, the bearing capacity decreases drastically again. The relationship between the residual stiffness and residual bearing capacity is determined based on the assumption that the residual stiffness and residual bearing capacity depend on the same damage state, and then, the bearing capacity degradation model of the reinforced concrete beam is established based on the fatigue stiffness. Through the established model and under the premise of the known residual stiffness degradation law, the degradation law of the bearing capacity is determined by using at least one residual bearing capacity test data, for which the parameters of the stiffness degradation function are considered as material constants. The results of the bearing capacity show that the bearing capacity degradation of the reinforced concrete beam also exhibits a very clear monotonic decreasing "S" curve, which is consistent with the stiffness degradation process and in good agreement with the experiment. In this study, the stiffness and bearing capacity degradation expressions are used to quantitatively describe their occurrence in reinforced concrete beams. In particular, the expression of the bearing capacity degradation can mitigate numerous destructive tests and save cost. The stiffness and bearing capacity degradation expressions for a reinforced concrete beam can be used to predict the deformation and bearing capacity of a structure during the service process and determine the structural fatigue damage and degree of degradation.

Abstract: A finite element model of commercial vehicles was firstly built in the paper to study the virtual reality of vibration characteristics, and the top 6-order modal was then computed and compared with the experimental results to verify the reliability of the computational model. Then, a neural network model of the cabin was built. Through road tests, the excitation signal at the cabin suspension point and the response signal of interior vibration noise were measured under the idle condition and constant speed condition. The measured excitation signal was applied to the prediction model for frequency response analysis, in order to compute the interior noise within the range 20-200 Hz. The obtained simulation result of the vibration noise was compared with the experimental result and analyzed. As indicated from the analysis, the influence of excitation spectrum and the model can be reflected by the simulation response spectrum, which is consistent with the experimental result. The higher precision can be also obtained when the model is applied to predict the interior noise.

Abstract: As a linear system identification method, the data-driven stochastic subspace method can effectively obtain modal parameters from the structural signal under ambient excitation. The noise reduction ability of the method is related with its Hankel matrix dimension. The relation between the noise and Hankel matrix of data-driven subspace identification method was introduced theoretically. And a verification procedure was proposed to justify that the noise can be eliminated properly by the data-driven subspace identification method with selected Hankel matrix. The procedure includes SVD, stability diagram and finite element result (FE). The results of numerical study and jacket platform vibration test demonstrate that the data-driven stochastic subspace identification method with non-square Hankel matrix is of better capability of denoising and can estimate modal parameters with higher accuracy. Effective modal identification method can obtain the relevant parameters of the structure, which can accurately get the basic health status of large structures. Many scholars at home and abroad (Ewins et al., 1984; Juang et al.;1985; Overschee et al., 1993) proposed modal parameter identification method based on time-domain response, such as time series, random decrement method, the natural excitation technique, data-driven stochastic subspace method. Among them, the data-driven stochastic subspace method is by far one of the more advanced modal parameter identification methods under environmental incentives. It can extract modal parameters of large structures such as offshore platforms more accurately. However, to determine the Hankel matrix dimension is the key to the effective application of this method based on Peeters(1999), and different Hankel matrix dimensions will result in different noise-canceling capabilities of data-driven stochastic subspace method (Maia et al., 1997; Peter et al.,1996; Li et al.,2011). How to determine the dimensions of Hankel matrices? Current research on this issue is still rarely reported. In response to these problems, we studied the theoretical relationship between Hankel matrix dimension and the data-driven stochastic subspace noise-canceling method, then we proposed Hankel matrix dimensions selection method of data-driven stochastic subspace identification method. And we discussed the relationship between data-driven stochastic subspace noise-canceling capabilities and different Hankel matrix build ways.

Abstract: In this study, the melt structure status of isotactic polypropylene/multi-walled carbon nanotubes composites (iPP/MWCNTs) nucleated with beta-NA was tuned by changing the fusion temperature T (f) . The non-isothermal crystallization behavior and subsequent melting behavior of the sample were studied in detail. The results showed that under different cooling rates (2, 5, 10, 20 and 40 deg/min), the crystallization temperature increased gradually with the decrease of T (f) , meanwhile, when T (f) was in the temperature range of 166-174A degrees C where ordered structures survived in the melt (named Region II), the crystallization activation energy was significantly lower compared with the case T (f) > 174A degrees C or T (f) < 166a degrees c. on the subsequent melting curves, the occurrence of the melt structure can be observed at all the cooling rates studied; the location of the region ii was constant, which did not show dependency on the cooling rates; low cooling rate and relative low t (f) within 166-174a degrees c encouraged the formation of more beta-phase triggered by melt structure.

Abstract: To explore the characteristics of driver reaction time in an Internet of vehicles (IOV) environment, a vehicle-to-vehicle platform was established to perform real-world driving tests. The characteristics of the following driver’s reaction time in an IOV were analyzed based on a Gaussian mixture model (GMM). By comparing fitted distribution models of the reaction times with the actual testing data in both traditional and networked vehicle environments, it was found that the GMM was superior to the normal distribution model and lognormal model in the IOV environment. The simple reaction time was reduced by 7.94%, the complex reaction time was reduced by 25.79%, and single lane basic traffic capacity was improved by 15.39% in the IOV environment. Furthermore, the population standard deviation of the driver’s reaction time was reduced by 32.99% and grew more concentrated. The effects of speed on reaction time were not significant in the IOV environment. ? ASCE.

Abstract: In order to solve the problem that the influence law of variables could not be described quantitatively because of the lack of interaction among variables in the existing passenger satisfaction model of urban rail transit, the paper uses the structural equation model to construct the passenger satisfaction multiple-group model of urban rail transit, and the path coefficients among the latent variables are quantified and analyzed. Finally, the clustering research is carried out according to the characteristics of the samples. The results show that service quality, corporate image and passenger trust had positive and direct effects on passenger satisfaction, loyalty had indirect effect on satisfaction, and the effect of service quality (0.98), corporate image (0.59), passenger trust (0.52), loyalty (0.03) on satisfaction is decreasing successively. There are obvious differences in the influence mechanism of passenger satisfaction under different gender and different occupations. Copyright ? 2018 by Science Press.

Abstract: An accurate analysis of the traffic congestion formation mechanism is the basis of identifying congestion, formulating a plan to alleviate congestion, and improving traffic network management. In this paper, we review a host of research from the aspects of formation and recognition and analyze a multitude of studies using traffic flow theory, complex network theory, kinetic theory, and traffic engineering theory to explore the formation and regular evolution of congestion. Our research results show that with the rapid development of advanced traveler information systems (ATIS), the formation of traffic congestion lacks exploring for traffic flow dynamic change in the traffic information. Importantly, recognition and prediction need to consider not only the operational characteristics of congestion but also integrate traffic volume composition and the role of the road network. In conclusion, we propose the trend of the development and the direction of our efforts. ? ASCE

Abstract: In order to effectively solve the problem of coupled heat transfer between air cooling and cylinder head when simulating heat transfer of the air-cooled engine, to explore head thermal load of the engine cylinder, the fluid-solid coupling three-dimensional numerical technology was proposed to simulate the process of coupled heat transfer between cylinder head and cold wind. The zero-dimensional combustion model was used for simulating the engine working process in order to obtain the thermal boundary conditions of three-dimensional simulation. The Doppler infrared thermal imaging temperature measuring technology was put forward to measure the thermal distribution of the engine cylinder head. Ultimately, in view of the problem that local temperature of the original cylinder head is on the high side, the cylinder head fin structure was optimized to enhance heat dissipation of the cylinder head and reduce thermal load of the engine. The results show that the simulation result is consistent with the measurement result, with the maximum error of less than 7 %. The fluid-solid coupled three-dimensional numerical simulation technology can reasonably simulate the fluid-solid coupled heat transfer between the cylinder head and the air. Doppler infrared thermal imaging temperature measuring technology can obtain continuous and intuitive data. The original machine cylinder head has the maximum temperature of 400 K and large thermal load. The optimum fin spacing is 4.5-6.5 mm, and the optimum fin thickness is 2.5-4. 5 mm. The optimization scheme enhances heat dissipation through enlarging the fin heat transfer area, and the maximum temperature has dropped 8 K. ? 2018, ICPE Electra Publishing House. Abstract: In order to avoid the large- scale crash of urban traffic network, which caused by traffic accident, cascading failure model which including the behavior of route change and the duration of incident is established. The initial load is identified by the evolution of traffic demand. The duration of failure and lazy loading method are introduced. When facing traffic accident, the subjective factor is considered. Then, based on prospect theory, we determine the dynamic way for redistribution of load. Finally, the solution process of this model by using MSA algorithm is given. The simulation results show that with the increase of failure time, the probability of path change have remarkable difference. Under different failure time and initial demand, the results can be used to quantitative analysis the evolution of cascading failure which caused by section. When direction of road has been considered, once the two direction of road have been failed, the speed of cascading failure will obviously paced up. In conclusion, this paper shed new light on the management of traffic accident. Copyright ? 2018 by Science Press.

Abstract: By analyzing the vehicle trajectory data of the single-approach-entering operation in signalized roundabout, which is obtained by the image recognition, it is found that vehicles’ lane-changing behavior mainly concentrated in the entry and exit area. Based on the analysis of the spatial distribution characteristics and reasons, the driving psychological parameter is introduced and the cellular automaton models for the different areas of the roundabout are established. Numerical simulation results indicate that, due to entrance lane’s construction not channelized, retardation that induced by lane-changing and traffic conflicts is the main factor of traffic congestion in signalized roundabout, and lane-changing motivation and occasion depends on turning ratio and channelization, which has little relevance to the length of entrance’s green time, and given long time may cause traffic flowdensity within roundabout increasing, then the retardation caused by lane-changing, which may block the operation of signalized roundabout, is more difficult to dissipate. Abstract: In order to consider pedestrian characteristics more comprehensively in the simulation model of bi-directional pedestrian flow, and study the effect of companion behavior on bi-directional pedestrian flow, this paper established a dynamic parameter model considering the behavior of companions by using cellular automata. The model used design parameters of direction, empty, forward, and category to reflect people’s walking characteristics in bi-directional pedestrian flow. Through simulation experiments, this study obtained the final form of self-organization phenomenon with different proportions of companions and the time step of self-organization formed in different groups. The results show that the formation of self-organization behavior requires more time in the presence of more pedestrians, and the number of pedestrian passages eventually formed changed irregularly. ? 2018 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Abstract: When bus enter a bus stop, it has a mandatory lane-changing behavior which may cause capacity decrease in the upstream road. Firstly, based on the traffic survey, the lane changing location has been analyzed, and the bus entering lane-changing point distribution has been provided. This paper also figures out three main factors that impact buses entering lane changing: the traffic volume, the number of buses, and the bus location. Then, the three factors are used as the input variable to model the back-propagation neural network (BPNN) of which the output is the entering lane-changing point in upstream road. Lastly, the weight product method is used to analyze the sensitivity of those three factors. The result shows that traffic volume and bus location are positively correlated with the lane-changing point. However, there is a negative relationship between the bus number and the point. Furthermore, bus location has the largest sensitivity coefficient with the value being 0.22, and when 20% perturbation is added to the three factors, the sensitivity of bus number grows higher than the other two factors. ? 2018 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Abstract: The selection of trajectory and speed is a crucial factor in automobile driving behavior. However, almost all the research objects of existing Driver models are developed for driving on city streets and general highways but are not applicable to driving simulations on minor traffic roads with complex shapes, in particular. Therefore, according to the practical automobile driving processes and characteristics in the real world, this paper proposed a trajectory calculation strategy, which we named as ``selecting trajectory point on a preview cross section.’’ According to this strategy, objective functions was established to describe the different selection patterns of ``trajectory and speed’’ of drivers. Constraint expressions were then designed on the basis of the roadway geometry and pavement condition, passenger car performance and ride comfort. A rolling-horizon algorithm for simultaneous solving, i.e., ``target trajectory-target speed,’’ was proposed. Eventually, validations of the proposed model were conducted using a race circuit and a complex mountain road as a simulation example, and the results indicated that the anticipated computational results could be obtained using the proposed decision-making model and algorithm. The result also showed a fairly good agreement with the trajectory and speed of a car on a practical circuit and mountain road. CCBY

Abstract: The target speed needs to be determined based on the geometry of the road ahead and current operational state in order to realize automated driving along complex mountain roads. However, existing speed prediction and V85models are unable to do so. This paper proposes a speed decision algorithm that is based on the curvature of the preview trajectory. Firstly, the trajectory point in each preview cross-section within the driver’s sight window is determined; the curvature of the preview trajectory is calculated and used as input data. Secondly, an objective function is selected to set the speed control pattern: minimum travel time; maximum comfort; minimum deviation from the reference speed; or multiple weighted objectives. Thirdly, the speed value for the preview cross-section is solved by optimizing the selected objective function. As the sight window rolls ahead, the target speed can be determined along the traveling distance. Because the trajectory generated within the boundary of the pavement is used by the driver, parameters such as the change in curve radius, deflection angle, lane width, and spiral length can change the driving boundary, which can change the trajectory characteristics and thus affect the target speed. Therefore, the proposed algorithm is able to determine the speed for roads with complex shapes. The field validation and simulation cases demonstrated that the target speed profile of different driving patterns can be obtained for different combinations of trajectory and speed patterns. Thus, the model can simulate diverse real-world driving behaviors and explain the diversity in driving speeds of different drivers. ? 2018, The Author(s) 2018.

Abstract: Curve cutting is the most frequent driving pattern observed on rural roads, which can bring two benefits for drivers, i.e., cutting effectiveness: first, to get trajectory flattened and then thus shortened; second, to enable drivers to maintain a higher speed due to the flattened radius. Consequently, drivers’ psychological need for higher traveling speed can be satisfied. However, curve cutting always occurs on the curves having a high level of cutting effectiveness, not on all curves. So, a problem appears, that is, what geometric features do these curves with a high cutting effectiveness have? In this paper, using the “roadway-driver-vehicle” virtual driving system to simulate the driving process when the pattern curve cutting was adopted by the driver, the relationship between cutting effectiveness and geometry features of a horizontal curve such as deflection angle, curve radii, roadway width, spiral length, and horizontal curve length were analyzed. The key geometry features that can significantly affect cutting effectiveness were identified and their critical value was also obtained. Per these findings, designers of highways or race circuits can judge the level of cutting effectiveness of a curve when its geometric parameters were given, and thus can predict the probability of a curve cutting’s appearance. Meanwhile, with a given requirement of cutting effectiveness, the geometric parameters can be determined. ? 2018 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). All rights reserved.

Abstract: High-risk driving behaviors and accident-prone road sections can be identified based on the relationship between the trajectory and highway geometry. In the present study, field driving experiments were performed on seven two-lane mountain highways, and vehicle trajectories under natural driving conditions were acquired. Further, the morphological features of the vehicle trajectory and how it is affected by the highway geometry were analyzed. The following were observed: 1) A vehicle approached the inner side, and then the outer side of a curve, and finally returned to its original lane. 2) For curves with medium and small deflection angles, the apex (curve cutting point) of the actual trajectory was ahead of that of the ideal path, and the actual trajectory moved closer to the outer side of the curve when the driver completed the cut. 3) Inertia may cause the vehicle to move too close to the outer side of the curve after a cut, for which reason the driver must correct the trajectory, although overcorrection may move the vehicle into the oncoming lane. 4) The smaller the radius of the horizontal curve, the more frequently the trajectory entered the oncoming lane. And 5), with increasing curve length, the driver may cut the curve a second time. ? 2018 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). All rights reserved.

Abstract: Since traditional traffic parameters, such as flow and velocity can be easily obtained from road traffic networks, and also the Vehicle Specific Power (VSP)-based approach to calculate vehicle emissions is widely used in the state-of-practice emission models, the modeling results could be used directly in the calculation in emission models, which takes into account the different operation modes of the intersection, thus enabling the dynamic evaluation of emission benefits of traffic networks. Based on the character analysis of the operating mode distribution at intersections, the characteristic parameters of intersection operating modes are identified. Then, the intersection operating mode distribution model is established based on the Partical Swarm Optimization K-Means cluster algorithm. Compared with the real-world data, the errors of the emissions of HC, CO, NOxis 6.08%, 0.80%, 4.18% based on the proposed model, and 38.67%, 28.87%, 12.22% based on MOVES respectively. Abstract: This paper talks about the global asymptotical synchronization problem of delayed fractional-order memristor-based complex-valued neural networks with uncertain parameters. Under the framework of Filippov solution and differential inclusion theory, several sufficient criteria ensuring the global asymptotical synchronization for the addressed drive-response models are derived, by means of Lyapunov direct method and comparison theorem. In addition, two numerical examples are designed to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the theoretical results. ? 2018 Elsevier Ltd

Abstract: In this paper, the problem of global μ-stability for quaternion-valued neural networks with time-varying delays and unbounded distributed delays is investigated. To avoid the non-commutativity of quaternion multiplication, the quaternion-valued neural networks is decomposed into two complex-valued systems. By employing the homomorphic mapping principle, a sufficient condition for the existence and uniqueness of equilibrium point of the considered quaternion-valued neural networks is proposed in the form of linear matrix inequality (LMI) in complex-valued domain. Further, the appropriate Lyapunov–Krasovkii functional is constructed in the Hermitian quadratic form, and sufficient condition to ensure the global μ-stability of the equilibrium point is obtained by using inequality technique. Finally, two numerical examples with simulations are provided to verify the effectiveness of the obtained results. ? 2018 Elsevier B.V.

Abstract: Free-piston engine generator is a new alternative to traditional reciprocating engine, which moves without mechanical restriction of crankshaft system. This article investigated numerically the friction characteristics of piston rings in a freepiston diesel engine generator by adopting coupled models of dynamic and friction. The development of the dynamic model and friction model was described, and an iterative calculation method was presented, giving insight into the coupled parameters of these two models. The detailed effects of the dynamic on friction and lubrication were investigated compared with a corresponding traditional crank engine. The friction characteristics of the free-piston engine generator were found to differ clearly from those of the traditional engine due to its special piston motion. Compared with the traditional engine, the minimum lubricant film thickness of piston rings in the free-piston engine generator is thicker and lasts shorter at the dead center regions, but it is generally thinner at other positions. The average friction force, friction power, and friction work of the piston rings in the free-piston engine generator are less than the traditional engine due to the better lubrication in endpoints region. Meanwhile, the friction power of the free-piston engine generator increases with the increase in fuel mass or decrease in load. The friction efficiency varies in correlation with the generator load; the optimum friction efficiency can be obtained by either increasing or decreasing from a certain generator load. ? Abstract: High grades and sharp curves are the major features for highway geometry in mountainous regions. Excessive lateral stress, which is associated with rollover, may occur at sharp curves. Therefore, understanding the relationship between speed and curve radius is necessary to recommend suitable ranges of curve radius in terms of speed limit. In this paper, the safety model was developed based on vehicle-road coupling principles. The model, which considers two critical scenarios, including sideslip and rollover, was validated by software simulation. The recommended values for curves in mountainous region were provided based on both simulation and theoretical results. The results may also provide reference for the mountainous highway geometry design. ? ASCE.

Abstract: The temperature distribution is one of the most important issues which should be considered in permafrost tunnel design. In order to investigate the influence of temperature disturbance caused by construction and boundary temperature on temperature distribution of surrounding rock in permafrost tunnel, a physical model experiment had been completed. A heater was working for half an hour to simulate the heat which was from construction. Both the inner face of tunnel and model top were exposed to air of test box. The results showed that the boundary conditions were successfully set up. The non-uniform force would act on support structure of tunnel because there were not uniform temperature distributions near the tunnel. The temperature distributions near the tunnel also would be affected by the temperature of ground surface if there is an enough small buried depth. In addition, the heat should be prevented to store in surrounding rock. Speeding up construction and installing reasonable insulation layer may be the effective methods. The results would contribute to understand frost damages mechanism and provide help for permafrost tunnel researches and design. ? 2018 Elsevier B.V.

Abstract: To overcome the toxicity of chemotherapy, increasing attention has been paid to local drug delivery systems (DDSs). pH-Sensitive hydrogels have emerged as promising DDS materials in the biomedical field due to their remarkable characteristics. However, the pH environment in tumor varies from person to person, which makes the applicability of systems based on pH challenging. In this study, we developed a contractible hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC)/Fe3O4hydrogel with dual-response pH and magnetic properties aiming to overcome the limitations of pH-sensitive hydrogel drug delivery systems and further increase their efficiency in tumor therapy. The HPMC/Fe3O4hydrogel could act as a drug delivery system that combines pH-sensitive triggering and magnetic dual-response drug release for synergistic chemo-magnetic hyperthermia therapy. The drug delivery profile of the HPMC/Fe3O4/doxorubicin hydrochloride (DOX) hydrogel was determined in vitro and revealed a remarkable pH-sensitive performance. After synergistic chemo-magnetic hyperthermia treatment, mice with 4T1 breast cancer xenografts recovered without any recurrence or metastasis, demonstrating the synergistic effect of chemotherapy and magnetic hyperthermia therapy. Meanwhile, reduced toxicity and superior anticancer effects were achieved due to the combined effect of the pH and magnetic hyperthermia response properties. This study demonstrated the high efficacy and low toxicity of the improved design of HPMC/Fe3O4for drug delivery, which may provide a promising approach for the application of chemo-magnetic hyperthermia cancer therapy. ? 2018 The Royal Society of Chemistry.

Abstract: Stability of high cutting slope concerns safety pass of road at the bottom of slope and has relationship with security and stability of buildings on the top of slope. On the basis of ANSYS finite element strength reduction method, this paper does elastoplastic nonlinear and large deformation geometric nonlinear analysis on slope. In terms of three-dimensional deformation of space, this paper utilizes Drucker -Prager elastoplastic model in finite element analysis and uses full N-R in large deformation analysis. Analyses on three-dimensional homogeneous high cutting slope show that three-dimensional slope model established through finite element strength reduction method could visually simulate the process of slope becoming unstable with increasing of reduction coefficient, in which better safety coefficient of slope could also be acquired. The utilization of strength reduction method in analyzing slope stability not only overcomes assumed slide of limit equilibrium method but also intuitively acquires sliding tendency and practical plastic sliding area of slope, which provides effective way for stability analysis on high cutting slope after excavation.

Abstract: The coordinated development of Economy-Resources-Environment (ERE) is a key component of sustainable development. Based on the connotation and framework of sustainable development of urban ERE, this paper employs the theory and methodology of System Dynamics (SD) to elucidate the economic growth constrained from urban resource depletion and environmental degradation. Herein, resource, environment, and technology subsystems are combined with economy subsystem into a Cobb-Douglas production. Meanwhile, five scenarios, named current, resources, environment, technology and economy, are designed to compare the simulation results, so that the effects of different scenarios on the urban ERE can be emphasized. The results demonstrate that the current development of Chongqing is unsustainable, and the optimization of any one subsystem cannot realize the sustainable development. It turns out that the transformation of the economic development mode is the only way to sustainable development in Chongqing, and feasible transformation ways of the economic development mode have been put forward.

Abstract: The conventional landslide calculation is obtaining a specific stability safety factor by using limit equilibrium method or strength reduction method based on the given strength parameters of soil. Although the M-C(Monte-Carlo) method provides a path to predict instability probability of landslide, in the traditional application of M-C to calculate the probability of landslide failure, the value c, phi of soils are considered to obey normal distribution. In fact, the value c, phi obeys various distribution under different kinds of cases. This paper discussed the calculation of landslide failure probability of soil parameters under different distribution types. The results show that the instability probability calculated under the form of normal distribution which the value of c, phi obeyed is lower than that under the logarithm normal distribution. The proposed method can improved the calculation accuracy of instability probability of landslide and had certain reference value for the calculation of the landslide instability probability.

Abstract: We studied the trimaran model by using Fluent to simulate the viscous flow field on different lateral distributions. Through studying the impact of the change of lateral distributions surface dynamic force, the results show that the change on distributions has a major effect on wavemaking at the midship and the stern. In comparative analysis of the resistance in different distributions, it is pointed out that a rational layout of the transverse space in a certain range has a positive effect on the resistance performance of the trimaran. The Layout of the lateral parts in front has a relative positive effect on the resistance performance in low speed while that in back is beneficial for the improving the resistance performance in high speed, and further giving out the best layout of the trimaran in different speed.

Abstract: The essence of failure for compression-shear sliding unstable rock belongs to the fracture of dominant fissure. The fracture mechanics model of compression shear type dangerous rock is established by combining rock failure criterion with fracture strength factor; By equivalent stress method, the equivalent stress field of the non-parallel section of the main control surface is obtained; The failure criterion of compression shear type dangerous rock is derived by using the classical D-P failure theory.

Abstract: A method of terminal vibration analysis based on Time-varying Glowworm Swarm Optimization algorithm is proposed in order to solve the problem that terminal vibration of the large flexible robot cantilever under heavy load precision. The robot cantilever of the ballastless track is used as the research target and the natural parameters of the flexible cantilever such as the natural frequency, the load impact and the axial deformation is considered. Taking into account the change of the minimum distance between the glowworm individuals, the terminal vibration response and adaptability could meet. According to the Boltzmann selection mechanism, the dynamic parameters in the motion simulation process are determined, while the influence of the natural frequency and the load impact as well as the axial deformation on the terminal vibration is studied. The method is effective and stable, which is of great theoretical basis for the study of vibration control of flexible cantilever terminal.
